Cooking chicken is easy and can adapt to a lot of different tastes. When cooking chicken, consider bringing whole chickens overnight or marinating chicken parts for about 4 hours. A marinade combines herbs and spices with oil and an acid, like lemon juice, vinegar or yogurt. The acid tenderizes the meat. To begin, set grill on medium heat and cook for 10 minutes on each side, then 5 more. The heavier the meat, the more time it will need to cook. Chicken should be around 165 degrees internally to be considered done. Finally, baste BBQ the last 5 minutes so it doesn’t burn or char.
To make a simple lemon garlic marinade, combine the
following ingredients:
ΒΌ cup Olive Oil or Canola Oil
2 Tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Tbsp Chopped Herbs
2 tsp Minced Garlic
Ground Black Pepper
